Polina Semionova Guests in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Swan Lake

For two nights only, international ballet star Polina Semionova will dance Odette/Odile in Birmingham Royal Ballet‘s production of Swan Lake.

Resident Guest Principal Artist with the Berlin State Ballet and former Principal Artist with American Ballet Theatre will perform the iconic dual-personality role at the Birmingham Hippodrome on February 17 and 18, 2023.

The Moscow born, Bolshoi Ballet School trained ballerina was hired as a principal dancer with Ballet of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden at the age of 17, immediately upon graduating. Since then, aside from her time at ABT, Polina Semionova has also been a Principal Guest at the Mikhailovsky Theater St. Petersburg and at the Bavarian State Ballet Munich.

She has danced the range of classical repertoire along with the contemporary works created on her by the leading choreographers of the past few decades.

Along with the run at the Birmingham Hippodrome, Birmingham Royal Ballet will also tour their production of Swan Lake to other UK theatres during the first quarter of 2023: Southampton Mayflower, Birmingham Hippodrome, The Lowry, Salford, Sunderland Empire, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Edinburgh Festival Theatre.
