Atlanta Ballet 2024-2025 Season

The Atlanta Ballet 2024-2025 season features world premieres by Choreographer-in-Residence Claudia Schreier, Kiyon Ross, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, as well as Yuri Possokhov’s Nutcracker and the return of Coppélia after a two decade absence. The latter is witty fairytale classic feturing the work’s original choreography by George Balanchine.

The world premiere of Schreier’s unique adaptation of The Rite of Spring, set to Igor Stravinsky’s iconic symphony work, is on a double-bill along with 7 for Eight by former San Francisco Ballet Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson.

Ross’ world premiere will join Stanton Welch’s Tu Tu, a highly stylized classical work set to Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major, and Lar Lubovitch’s Elemental Brubeck which channels the iconic style of Dave Brubeck’s ‘jazz-meets-symphony’ piece in the opening program of the season, “Fall Into Rhythm”.

Closing the season is a triple-bill, “Catch Tuplet”, given its title by the names of the first two ballets on the program – Catch (Liam Scarlett) set to music by Philip Glass and Tuplet (Alexander Ekman) with music and sound by Mikael Karlsson – and featuring a new creation by Lopez Ochoa.
