Charlotte Ballet 2024-2025 Season
Titled “Unfiltered”, the Charlotte Ballet 2024-2025 season features several new works by some of today’s most prominent choreographers, including the company’s Artistic Director Alejandro Cerrudo.
They are featured in the Beyond the Surface opener with world premieres by Mthuthuzeli November, who created his love letter to Charlotte Ballet, From Africa with Love, last fall, Jennifer Archibald’s sequel performance of her piece HdrM, and Puerto Rican choreographer Omar Román De Jesús.
Cerrudo’s will create his first new work for Charlotte and feature two additional favorites – PACOPEPEPLUTO and Cloudless – that explore the realm of self-expression, enveloped in the illusion of nudity and adding an extra layer of artistic authenticity. Opening this Realm of Existence program is Johan Inger’s Walking Mad.
The annual favorite Nutcracker (Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux) powerful Carmen (Andrea Schermoly) and FLIP workshop, in which Charlotte Ballet dancers create pieces, round out the five-program year that runs from October 2024 through June 2025.
