Dutch National Ballet 2026-2027 Season

The Dutch National Ballet 2026-2027 season marks Ernst Meisner’s first at the helm following 23 years of Ted Brandsen as the Artistic Director.
“I want to give space to many different artistic voices.”
Roster Changes at Dutch National Ballet for the 2026-2027 Season
On May 21, 2026, the following newcomers to the company were announced:
- Martin ten Kortenaar returns to the company as principal soloist
- Siphesichle November as second soloist
Also joining the company are Junior Company dancers second year: Estefanio Guajardo, Yuzuki Yamatini, Dylan Weinstein and Richmond Salvador, Junior Company dancers first-years: Isa Vreeman, Elisa Grassi, Ian Wolters and Michele Forghieri, Junior Company dancers Prix de Lausanne winners: Jiyul Jeon and Tae Eun Kim. Back from leave with the rank of coryphée: Arianna Maldini.
It was also announced that first soloist Qian Liu would be taking her final bow on July 2, 2026 during DNB’s annual gala.
Also departing are Erica Horwood (grand sujet), Diego Altamirano, Nicola Jones and Skya Powney (all corps de ballet), Soyoung Lee (élève), Eva Bakker, Sophie Bielik and Amber Skaggs (all Junior Company).
Promotions for the upcoming season include:
- From corps de ballet to coryphée: Bela Erlandson, Robin Park and Guillermo Torrijos.
- From élève to corps de ballet: Ella Kolpakov, Alexander Alvarez and Vincent Vivet
- From Junior Company to National Ballet (élève): Gabrielle Brett, Rosa Cabrera Nuesi, Annabelle Eubanks, Lea Sauvignon, Javier Becerra Cubero, Jenson Blight, John Murch and Darius Oriol Tamosi
