Pacific Northwest Ballet 2025-2026 Season

The Pacific Northwest Ballet 2025-2026 Season features four full-length ballets and three mixed repertory programs, including one which celebrates the company’s Resident Choreographer Jessica Lang.

The season opens with George Balanchine’s Jewels, a beloved ballet across the globe which captures the essence of the French, American, and Russian styles through Emeralds (Gabriel Fauré), Rubies (Igor Stravinsky), and Diamonds (Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky), respectively.

Three classical ballets grace the season: the perennial showing of Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, fomer PNB Artistic Director Kent Stowell’s Cinderella, and current Artistic Director Peter Boal’s staging of Giselle.

The first triple bill of the season features a world premiere by company dancers Christopher D’Ariano and Amanda Morgan accompanied by Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room and Dani Rowe’s The Window.

The second one highlights the return of Stowell’s Firebird after a two decade hiatus, plus former Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo’s Little mortal jump, and Ulysses Dove’s Red Angels.

The season closes with the All Lang program showcasing three of the choreographer’s works. Her Door to the Sky is inspired by painter Georgia O’Keeffe’s Patio Door series; Ghost Variations, created during the COVID-19 pandemic, immerses the audience in the music Robert Schumann composed before being confined to an asylum; and ZigZag is an energetic piece which pays tribute to singer Tony Bennet.
