Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll & Hyde will have its Rocky Mountain regional premiere in February when Colorado Ballet presents this gothic ballet at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Set in Victorian London to music by Frédéric Chopin, Krzysztof Penderecki, Henryk Górecki, Wojciech Kilar, and Henryk Wieniawski, Caniparoli’s work is inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous tale. Audiences will be drawn into the psyche of Dr. Jekyll and his evil alter ego Mr. Hyde as the dancers and the Colorado Ballet Orchestra carry the story to its tragic ending.
