PETER PAN
Choreographer: Devon Carney

Kansas City Ballet

More than five years after its premiere, Devon Carney’s Peter Pan returns to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in February for nine shows.

“I am delighted to bring Kansas City audiences back to Never Never Land once again with this well-known tale of Peter Pan. We see the adventures with the Darling family and wonder if we ever really need to grow up. What a perfect introduction for young ones and for the young at heart to experience such a beautiful artform, complete with pixie dust and flying!”

– Devon Carney, Artistic Director of Kansas City Ballet

Carmon DeLeone’s score will be played by the Kansas City Symphony conducted by Kansas City Ballet Music Director Ramona Pansegrau.

As a complement to the performances, Kansas City Ballet will also be hosting two special events – Dance Speaks and Dancer Chat. The former, to take place on January 31 at KCB’s affiliated Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity, will give fans access to a rehearsal of Peter Pan as well as the opportunity to listen in on a chat between Carney and yet-to-be announced guests.

Dancer Chat is a Facebook LIVE event to be held on February 7 and features three company dancers talking about their roles in the company’s upcoming productions.
