Abigail Prudames, one of Northern Ballet’s two Premier Dancers, will take her final bow with the company on June 1, 2024.
In the final performance of the run at Sadler Well’s, Prudames will dance the title role in Christopher Gable CBE and Massimo Moricone’s Romeo & Juliet opposite her long-time partner – and the other Premier Dancer of the Leeds-based ballet company – Joseph Taylor.
The Harrogate native started dancing at the age of six having trained at Studio 3 Dance Workshop in Knaresborough, Royal Ballet Lower School, and Elmhurst School for Dance. She went on to join Northern Ballet as an apprentice in 2011 and rose through the ranks to ultimately arrive at the top.
She has danced numerous featured roles in the company’s repertoire and has gained special recognition for her performances in David Nixon CBE’s The Little Mermaid and The Great Gatsby, and Cathy Marston’s Victoria.
