American Ballet Theatre and Celebrity Cruises “are teaming up for a pas de deux” (Celebrity). This partnership will bring classical ballet to the oceans aboard Celebrity’s beautiful, modern fleet. This relationship will give cruising guests the opportunity to learn more about the world of ballet with one of the world’s most renowned companies. There will be headliner performances and enrichment seminars on select sailings on all but one of Celebrity’s ships – Celebrity Edge; for 2019, there will be ABT events on Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Equinox, and Celebrity Millennium and for 2020 on Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Eclipse, and Celebrity Apex.
For those guests wanting a more participatory experience, there will be ballet barre classes for adults as well as children’s classes. This partnership also extends to land as there will be shore excursions available when there is a port of call at a destination where ABT is performing.
