Kansas City Ballet is readying for the world premiere of Artistic Director Devon Carney’s Cinderella to be performed at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
The Kansas City Symphony, conducted by Ramona Pansegrau, will be accompanying the dancers with the notes of Sergei Prokofiev’s score.
Cinderella is a magical celebration of dreams fulfilled and true love’s triumph. Devon Carney’s beautiful world premiere choreography accompanied by Prokofiev’s captivating music brings this enchanting story to life. Enjoy this favorite fairy tale where the characters are sure to delight. The delightful Cinderella, her Fairy Godmother, the pumpkin that becomes a carriage, fairies weaving spells, the handsome prince, the glass slipper, the clock striking 12
o’clock, and of course, the wicked stepmother and riotous, bumbling stepsisters all come together to tell this beloved story.

Additionally, Kansas City Ballet will be holding events related to the performances of Devon Carney’s Cinderella such as Dance Speaks: Cinderella, a viewing of the dress rehearsal followed by a panel and Dancer Chat: Cinderella, a free community engagement activity aimed at bringing the ballet to a larger audience.
