Before making it to theaters on September 17, 2021, you can watch the In Balanchine’s Classroom trailer right here.

Released by Zeitgeist Films in association with Kino Lorber, this documentary featuring interviews with Balanchine’s disciples and rare video footage of the ballet master at work is Connie Hochman’s first film. It focuses on the pedagogical side of the man who is known around the world as a choreographic genius.

In Balanchine’s Classroom – as the title implies – delves deep into the studios of the School of American Ballet and New York City Ballet and includes intimate conversations with those who have taken on the lifetime roles of carrying on the legend’s unique style of teaching.
