The New York City Ballet 2024 Winter Season at the David H. Koch Theater, which runs from January 23 through March 3, follows the journey of the company’s repertoire building from George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins and carrying audiences all the way to this year’s world premiere ballets by Tiler Peck and Alexei Ratmansky.

Wheeldon is NYCB’s former Resident Choreographer, Martins is the company’s previous Ballet Master in Chief, and Peck is the current Resident Choreographer.

The February 1st performance will feature the premiere of Tiler Peck’s first creation for New York City Ballet set to Francis Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra, with costumes designed by Zac Posen, and lighting designed by Brandon Stirling Baker.

The February 15the performance is highlighted by Ratmansky’s first work for NYCB since joining the company as its Artist in Residence last year. It is set to Gustav Mahler’s Third Movement (Funeral March) from Symphony No. 1 and the Fourth Movement (Adagietto) from Symphony No. 5 and features costumes by Moritz Junge and lighting by Mark Stanley.

Carnival of the Animals will be narrated by Terrence Mann, one of the several guest artists for NYCB’s 75th anniversary season, in a role originally created in 2003 by John Lithgow.
