Seattle audiences will appreciate the line up for the Pacific Northwest Ballet 2019-2020 season, especially the Locally Sourced program featuring world premieres by three local talents – Donald Byrd (Artistic Director of Spectrum Dance), Miles Pertle (PNB company dancer), and Eva Stone (Founder/Produce of CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work). Ballet Met Artistic Director Edwaard Liang will also create a new ballet to complement pieces by Crystal Pite and Twyla Tharp in the company’s closing program. Other mixed programs include works by George Balanchine, Alejandro Cerrudo, David Dawson, and Kent Stowell.

Company Artistic Director Peter Boal balances out the contemporary work with three classical ballets. He will be adding his own touch to Giselle, presenting PNB Founding Artistic Director Kent Stowell’s Cinderella, and as is the annual tradition, staging George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.
