Joining the dancers in Queensland Ballet’s Strictly Gershwin production which runs from September 28 through October 7 are singers Naomi Price, Luke Kennedy, Ben Mingay, and Nina Korbe.
Set to the music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, Derek Deane’s choreography will be brought further to life by the sounds of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the voices of some of Australia’s finest singers.
Kennedy was part of the 2016 cast of Strictly Gershwin and expresses:
“Naomi and I are delighted to be joining the cast of Strictly Gershwin. I was fortunate enough to perform in the original Australian cast back then, so it’s special to return to the work alongside my partner and tackle this beautiful repertoire together.
We are both deeply admiring of the achievements of Queensland Ballet under the artistic leadership of Li Cunxin and can’t wait to share the stage with world-class dancers performing the iconic music of George Gershwin.”
