Next month, Sarasota Ballet performs live for the first time this year in a two-program series on the Asolo Terrace Stage at FSU Center for the Performing Arts. Safety protocols including the maintenance of distance between patrons will be strictly adhered to.
Sarasota Ballet Performs Live Outdoors
Responding to the demand for live performances to complement the Company’s Digital Winter – Spring Season, The Sarasota Ballet will be presenting two programs of outdoor performances over the next few months.
Terrace Program 1 will feature The Sarasota Ballet Studio Company and Trainees of the Margaret Barbieri Conservatory in a revival of Resident Choreographer Ricardo Graziano’s original work, Feira de Castro, not seen since its premiere in 2013. Additional planned works include excerpts from Coppélia and Swan Lake, and more yet to be announced.
Terrace Program 1 will take place Friday, March 5th, to Sunday, March 7th at 6 PM
Terrace Program 2 is comprised of ballets choreographed by women of The Sarasota Ballet and The Sarasota Ballet Studio Company, and will be performed by The Sarasota Ballet and Studio Company. More details on this performance will be announced in the near future.
Terrace Program 2 will take place Thursday, April 29th, to Saturday, May 1st at 6 PM.
The company is offering tickets at a reduced rate in order to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the return of live ballet while still partially covering the costs of staging the programs.
Ballet fans who have been clamoring for a move towards in-person ballet performances once more will be delighted by these safe yet sensational shows!
