Scottish Ballet Prepares for Twice-Born Program

This autumn, Scottish Ballet prepares for Twice-Born, a double bill featuring works by Dickson Mbi and Cayetano Soto.

Of note, Mbi’s world premiere commission – the program’s title piece – is set to music the choreographer composed himself. The Olivier Award-winning artist is the first Creative Associate of Scottish Ballet’s Next Generation Campaign, a program which endeavors to produce ten new works by early-mid career dance makers by 2028.

Spanish-born Soto’s Schachmatt (Checkmate) opens the evening (its UK premiere) a work whose ground is a chessboard and whose movement and costuming carry an equestrian aesthetic.
