Tulsa Ballet’s Hope for the Holidays, an annual tradition that is now marking two decades, brings The Nutcracker ballet to more than 2,000 local social service clients and non-profit agencies. The full production of this holiday classic will be performed at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on December 15, 2022, and includes refreshments for all of its guests.
Tulsa Ballet Managing Director Scott Black provides more details:
“Hope for the Holidays is one of our Community Outreach Programs, designed to remove the financial barriers of attending a Tulsa Ballet performance. For one night each December, Tulsa Ballet gives away every seat in the Chapman Music Hall to welcome over 2,000 clients of area social service agencies who come to experience The Nutcracker. The evening is complete with juice and cookies for the family and a take home holiday gift – all at no cost to them.
Hope for the Holidays is one of my favorite nights of the year, as Tulsa Ballet gives back to the community, and to those who would never have the chance to attend a performance on their own. It’s what the holidays are all about.”
The evening is made possible by donor contributions.
