Mikko Nissinen's Nutcracker
Nissinen’s production of The Nutcracker was created in 2012 and features scenic and costume design by Robert Perdziola and lighting design by Mikki Kunttu.
Based on the libretto by Alexandre Dumas père titled The Tale of the Nutcracker, which is adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann’s story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, The Nutcracker tells the story of young Clara, her famous Christmas gift, and the journeys that she and the prince take through the enchanted forest and Kingdom of the Sweets.
