Now in its fortieth season, the Works & Process at the Guggenheim series, which takes place at the museum’s Peter B. Lewis Theater, highlights three ballet companies: Miami City Ballet, BalletX, and New Jersey Ballet.

In anticipation of their Florida premieres, dancers from Miami City Ballet will perform excerpts from Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Carmen and Pam Tanowitz’s Coincident Dances. BalletX: Jennifer Archibald (March 23 @ 3pm)
Ahead of the world premiere of Jennifer Archibald’s Maslow’s Peak, inspired by William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies, BalletX’s Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox will discuss the collaboration between the company, Archibald, and designer Guy de Lancey.
New Jersey Ballet: Maria Kowroski and Harrison Ball (April 14 @ 7pm)
Before the New Jersey Performing Arts Center sees the premiere of Harrison Ball’s second commission for New Jersey Ballet, the choreographer and Artistic Director Maria Kowroski will sit down for a moderated discussion. Company dancers will also perform highlights from the new work.
